Setup
Connect your first AWS account to Wring in a few minutes.
Connecting an AWS account to Wring takes a few minutes and does not require any agents, infrastructure changes, or access keys. You stay in control the whole time: the connection is made through a CloudFormation stack that you launch in your AWS account.

1. Sign in to Wring
Log in to your Wring dashboard with the account your Wring contact set up for you. If you don't have access yet, reach out to [email protected].
2. Start the connect wizard
Go to Linked AWS accounts and choose Add account. A four-step wizard walks you through the rest.
3. Choose your levels
The wizard first asks which Wring levels you want on this account. Base — pure cost & usage reading — is always included and is all you need to get started. Optional levels like security checks or Wring Bedrock can be added now or any time later; each one is its own stack with its own narrowly scoped read-only role.
4. Connect your management account
If you use an AWS Organization, start with its management account: the wizard hands you a CloudFormation quick-create link for it, pre-filled and reviewable before you launch. Click Create stack in your AWS console (make sure you're in the right AWS account), and your account notifies Wring as soon as the stack finishes — usually within a minute.
The console opens in Frankfurt (eu-central-1) by default. That is only a
default: switch to any Region your account allows before you create the stack
— it contains nothing Region-specific and notifies Wring from wherever it runs.
Wring then lists the organization's member accounts, all selected by default, so you deselect the ones you don't want rather than adding them one at a time.
No AWS Organization? The wizard's manual path connects a single account with the same stack.
5. Let the stacks install
The wizard launches the remaining stacks for the accounts and levels you picked and shows each one's progress. You can close the dialog safely — the stacks keep creating in AWS, and anything still missing is picked up the next time you open the wizard.
Each stack creates a read-only IAM role that Wring assumes — see the access model for exactly what it can and cannot do.
6. See your first data
The first cost synchronization starts right after activation. Historical data fills in progressively; from then on your costs refresh automatically every day.
