AWS Partner Central

Set up a free AWS Partner Central account and send us the two IDs your credit applications need.

To submit credit applications on your behalf, Wring needs two IDs from your side: your Partner ID and a DSA ID. Both live in AWS Partner Central, so if your company doesn't have an account there yet, one needs to be created. That is the only reason for this step — once we have the two IDs, we continue from there.

The short version:

  • Creating the account is free and carries no obligations — no fees, no certifications, no commitment to sell anything. Paid partner tiers exist, but only if your company actively chooses to pursue them later.
  • AWS requires standard identity and business verification (KYC) on registration — the same kind of check as opening a Stripe account.
  • Registration takes about 3 minutes, and it doesn't need to be a director or legal signatory — someone authorized to create the account is enough. Teammates can be added afterwards, and the account can be transferred later.

The steps

1. Create a Partner Central account — if not yet active

In the AWS console, search for AWS Partner Central → Get started → create an account, and complete the company/identity verification.

2. Find your Partner ID

  • New Partner Central: left sidebar → My Company → your Partner ID is listed there.
  • Older accounts (not yet migrated to the new Partner Central): left sidebar → Partner Scorecard.

3. Create the distribution engagement request (DSA ID)

In the left sidebar → Channel Management → Distribution engagement requests → Create application:

  • Under country, choose Germany — always, regardless of where your company is based: the engagement is routed through TD SYNNEX in Germany, the distributor Wring works with.
  • Preferred distributor: TD SYNNEX.
  • Fill in your own information and submit.

4. Send us both IDs

Send the Partner ID and the DSA ID to [email protected] — that's everything we need.

Why AWS asks for identity verification

AWS requires every new Partner Central registration to go through identity and business verification. In AWS's own words:

"AWS Partner Central requires new partners to complete both identity verification and business verification processes during registration. To maintain the security and integrity of the AWS Partner Network for partners and AWS customers, the verification step is required." — AWS: Verification process

Two details from that same AWS page worth knowing:

  • The tax registration location "is used for verification only and will not be saved in your AWS account or used as your billing address."
  • The business tax ID is "used for business verification only and does not change your billing information in the AWS account."

Who should do it

Per AWS's registration FAQ, "an individual authorized to register a AWS Partner Central account" can complete the verification — it does not need to be a director or legal signatory. The same FAQ confirms account management can be transferred if that person changes roles or leaves, and that personal data from registration can be updated or removed on request.

What this is not

Creating a Partner Central account can look like the start of "becoming an AWS seller" — badges, accreditations, annual fees. It isn't:

  • Joining is free. AWS: "you can join anytime at no cost". Fees apply only if your company later pursues official partner tiers.
  • No obligations. You're not committing to sell anything or complete any certification.
  • The distribution engagement request is a standard, documented AWS mechanism — with TD SYNNEX, a public company and official AWS distributor — and is what allows funding applications to be submitted on your behalf.
